While it's a monthly contest, which doesn't allow for spending TOO much time with a subject, there are still ways to edit tighter and order more strategically to create that narrative. First place takes political coverage and runs a theme throughout. Photographer worked violin scene well. Important to create a variety of "head sizes" in a story. Get close, back up, switch lenses, etc.
