The Sports category was very strong overall. It was decided that the fingertip catch would take first for getting that perfect peak action moment. The composition and expressions on the players worked well to earn this first. Formula1 Grand Prix came in second, we loved the celebration photo as a great example of finding an exciting moment outside of the sporting action. Third place was a battle, but ultimately Texans/Dolphins image came out to take third. The photographer caught a peak action moment that also had a little bit of humor to it as well and worked on several different levels in the first frame. The Fan Down photo came in for the Alternate, a funny moment caught on the sidelines, proving not all the best sports moments are shot on the field.
