The first place image stood out to us because of the tight crop really focusing on the smile of the kid in the big hat-it was a quick read and really everything that makes a good feature photo. We argued over rather the second place image belonged more in sport feature or feature-feature but ultimately agreed it could go in either and it is a great frozen action portraying the excited atmosphere of high school life. The repetition of the third place image locked it in for placement.
