The winners all shared nice moments, in different ways. First place was a quiet moment that combined lovely light with an interesting use of shadows. The photographer made smart choices in the way they composed the frame and waited for the moment.
Second place had a joyous expression combined with pretty light that made the subject pop.
Third had lots of great expressions from a hot dog eating contest. The photo didn't read as quickly as the other images, with a bit too much space at the top.
