The Pulisic reaction image has strong, peak emotion. It's sharp, tight, with a clean background – all great things in sports shooting. The starter image exemplified the PJ's creative eye and was technically sound and thoughtfully cropped, though we wished the too "subjects" had less dead space in between them.
We didn't feel other entries quite rose to the degree of deserving a place, due to the moments being unsurprising or photos being technically iffy.
