Judges Comments

Far too many mediocre images included in multiple entries in spot news. A few could have won as singles, but the judges saw far too much repetition and images that should not have been included. That said, we really liked the two winners. First place fire photo told the story effectively and beautifully. Very well done. Second place was simple and harrowing. Also a winner for sure. We went back and forth on which was first and which was second.
