First place is composed very well and shows the impact of demolition. We wish the caption included why readers should care about the house being demolished. Second place has a nice variety of images from the protest, but we felt like there wasn't many unique frames. We would likely see these images at any protest. Third place is a unique angle and a fresh take on graduation coverage. The HM image is nice, but we wish there was an action with it - maybe someone placed the picture on the seat, touched it after stepping off stage, etc.
