For first place, the judges enjoyed the humor in the golf photo. Golf can be a challenge to make interesting and different, but the photographer did a great job of making it so. Second place, great moment between tennis teammates. Judges noted the clean background and well-exposed image, which draws the viewer into the emotion without being distracted by other elements. Strong photo. For third place, the moment of the player reacting on the ground outweighs the not-so-great composition. This photo could have been executed better by getting low; it is quite busy, but the judges felt the moment outweighed that.
