First place felt a bit different from your typical spot news submissions, but it grew on us. A nice, quiet moment with a subject and her horse after a storm. Second place showed good hustle by the photog to get a good variety of photos to capture the effects of the storm throughout the community. It was a light category, and we felt nothing quite rose to the level of a third-place merit.
