Only three images were submitted in this category. First place: We believe the image is well-composed and tells a compelling story, imbued with a strong feeling of tension. Second place: Now that's a fire! We credit the photographer for being at the scene prior to any water being put on the flames, though we felt the crop was awkward, particularly in relation to the hose, and lacking sufficient context. We didn't award third place, agreeing that the remaining entry, while a nice photo, was a General News image, as it was photographed some time after the fire was extinguished.
