A plethora of powerful images made judging it more difficult, which is a good thing. First: Judges wonder why this image wasn't entered in the Portraits category. Beautiful light and the athletes' face made the frame. Second: A well-executed collection of images showing the ups, downs and involved fans of high school football. However, multiple photos of game action and fans weighed down the package. Third: Documenting sheer joy takes concentration and keeping one's eye to the camera while the celebration unfolds on the field. Well Done! Alternate: A refreshing change of perspective and excellent use of shadows.
