Any number of the singles from the Day of the Dead story could have won this category alone. Together, the collection of reportage, which had intimate access and beautiful color, made for a great story. The photographer for the second place story went deep into the camera bag of tricks to give us a visually interesting and unique set of pictures that went above and beyond typical podium photos. Had a hard time deciding between third and alternate photos. Ultimately chose third for its simplistic composition from a difficult shooting condition.
