First Place: We love how the photographer captured this moment in “smoke.” It's a unique way to shoot from the back during player introductions. And the photographer did a great job in a less-than-ideal lighting situation. Second Place: The photographer made a great photo in “Back Flip.” Good job not cropping out any body parts and keeping focus in an unexpected moment. Third Place: We chose “Ticket Punched” because we thought it was smart for the photographer to keep the frame wide to see everything from the players to the crowd celebrating in a peak moment of victory. Alternate: “Celebration” shows a nice use of lighting in the sky. And it's also nice to see the coach's face in a moment where it's usually covered.
