First place stood out for its impact—both literally and figuratively. Even though the rope partially obscured the action, the image rose above the others. Second place offered a strong capture of a goal and a solid peak moment, though the composition wasn’t ideal. Third place had an interesting angle and composition, with players sprawled on the ice, but the moment wasn’t quite the peak moment we hoped for. Honorable mention is a bold, high-impact photo, though we would have liked to see the other fighter's face to enhance the expression.
