First place was a nice tight shot using scenery to tell us about the subject. The light play through the subject's glasses is also a nice touch. Second place is extremely memorable, and we kept coming back to it. Third place was an interesting way to photograph a semi-anonymous subject. We would like to have seen a background with more going on to offset the deliberate lack of information from/about the subject. Lots of entries in this category were very far from their subjects.
