Judges Comments

First Place: We were intrigued with the colors and silhouettes in “Sunset.” The photo is well executed, and we like how the railing creates a housing structure to frame the row of individuals. Second Place: The photographer captured a unique moment that's out of the ordinary in “Banana Trio.” We also appreciate that the photographer identified the three kids in the caption. Third Place: “Dancing in the Snake Pit” is a fun photo, and the photographer did a great job taking us into the moment to make us feel like we're part of the crowd. Alternate: The contrasting reactions of the crowds to the left and right of the colored powder was interesting to look at in “Colorful Cloud.” The photo may have been a bit more dramatic if it was shot closer or at a different angle, but it's a good moment frozen in time.
