Judges Comments

First Place: We felt like “Argentina Homeless” fit the “feature” category the most. We like the perspective and the contrasting lines to give separation to the different subjects. Second Place: We wish the photographer would have gotten the name of the subject in “Campaign.” The photo has great light and colors, and we like how the subject is off-centered and not looking directly at the camera. Third Place: “Protest” has nice even light, and we appreciate the geometric feel it gives. It's a cool way to photograph a protest. Alternate: “Plant Close” was a nice moment, but we felt the person on the right needed to be cropped out of the frame so our eye could easily go straight to the main subjects.
