1. Cool event with a good moment and angle. A unique, whimsical event helped elevate this from other standard news coverage events. 2. A good moment from the opening of a middle school. Cleaning up this image could have helped raise it. 3. A clean image, that also could have done well in the feature category. HM. Funeral procession image was too messy of a composition to place. This category lacked some better news coverage. Lots of standard images being made from straight-forward events. For multiple picture entries, less is more. Photographers should place better emphasis on editing their entries for redundancy and a variety of compositions.
