First place was a well done multi-picture entry of what was undoubtedly a difficult scene to document. There was a lot of visual variety, all with good moments that furthered the story. We both agreed you could lose the final five images to tighten and reduce redundancy but the first part of the package was strong enough to maintain first. Second place was a powerful moment that humanized an issue that has national impact and brought it to a local and personal level. Third place was a fun and graphically interesting image for what could be a difficult or boring assignment Honorable mention to the city manager forum for making a graphic image out of what could have been a podium shot
