The first place photo is a really neat celebration photo that highlights the interaction between athletes and fans. The trophy is clear and easy to see, but doesn't steal the show. Really interesting photo. The second place photo has great composition, with all the hurdles and the clear human form moving them. The photographer turned bad weather into a good photo. The third place photo is a brave one- getting close to people in their exhaustion is admirable and here it worked out well. The composition is good and the photo holds interest as the main subject looks into the camera.
