Judges looked for unusual moments in the sports action category. Really solid work and some peak action elements in nearly all the images entered, the unusual pictures were immediate finalists.
First place went to Dak Prescott upside down with defenders around him, a very nice moment.
Second went to the image of hockey puck smacking the helmet of a goalie, a real unusual photograph from hockey. The ice flying through the air added to the moment.
Third went to a wide from a basketball game, lit well for the faces with peak action. Nicely done.
