Judges Comments

First place benefited from a good crop/framing and cutlines that informed the reader more about the story. Second place was chosen for its nice composition, depth to the frame and a unique take on a regularly recurring subject matter. We enjoyed seeing the action and mood conveyed in the image but felt it could have been cropped slightly better. We felt third place capture the moment but could have been composed better as the subjects were too close to the edge of the frame.
