Judges went back and fourth on a few images. As with many contests, different judges might have picked a couple of others.
1. Tight frame. Good light. Peak action. Doesn’t looked to be cropped-in by much if any.
2. After further review we flipped this shot and the honorable mention around. The choice was hard because this is a better action shot and so much is going on, but the HM background is so clean, but this photo opportunity happens maybe once a game or less.
3. Add daylight and a defenders arm and this is competing for #1
