Only two stories were worthy of placement. First place is a great series that goes deep into what long covid is like. The photographer did well in sticking with the subject over a long time, capturing candid moments and keeping the edit tight with everything adding to the overall story. Probably our favorite images across all categories. Fantastic work. Second did a good job in gaining access and capturing some emotional and difficult moments. The edit could have been tighter. One note for all entrants, when editing a story throw out images of signs. Show, don't tell.
