First Place: We were drawn to the eye connection with the ball in “Over Shot.” We also liked that the net was not cropped out because it adds to the image. It's a clean photo that was interesting to look at, with the foot tilted forward and his head tilted backward. Second Place: The photographer was able to capture good action and emotion in “Fallen.” We like that you can feel movement in the photo. Third Place: “Tumble Town” was well done because the photographer was able to capture emotion without showing the subject's face. Alternate: “Basket” is a good basketball photo — a very crisp photo that shows action and emotion.
