We decided not to award the single entry in this category because it was event coverage that showed no narrative arc. Entrants should refamiliarize themselves with contest rules regularly before entering. We would love to see photographers spending more time with the people they report on, bringing humanity and visual expression to complex stories and giving viewers a deeper look into the lives of their neighbors.
