Another really strong category. There were many nice moments that just fell to the wayside with these few that elicited a lot of emotion while being in focus with great light and focus.
First place of the player taunting the runner next to him is so great. You see enough of his face and celebration but also see who it's aimed at, the guy right next to him. The real dream of sports action, not just the reaction but also who it's aimed at.
Second place was a great swarming photo, especially with the coach eating it in the background. Your eye moves through the frame perfectly finding something new every time and the coach falling in the background is obvious but also not the focus of the photo which is exactly how we want it.
Third place is one of the best finds we've ever seen from a track meet that really would have benefited from a different angle or lens or crop or something. The hand on her back reaching through the fence is so strong, we just wanted to see more of the coach behind her, two steps to the left even with the lens you were using would have made a world of difference.
We really liked the visual of the alternate bubble its a great moment and we like the two seagulls bookmarking him, it just didn't hold up to more emotional moments.
