First Place – Very strong picture that brings the viewer into the heart of the destruction from a devastating tornado. Every part of the frame is filled with pertinent information right down to the Bugs Bunny on the sweatshirt of the woman on the left leading into the picture with the “Love You More” on the blanket that reminds us that this is someone’s home. The open sky juxtaposed to the ceiling above the woman on the left gives us more understanding of the destruction.
Second Place – Classic evacuation shot. A lone soul with his most precious possessions.
