Judges Comments

The first place entry had such an impressive variety of photos for what is a very news-y event. The ability to move around and the use of space were great. Second: The photographer made a great package for a story which, we imagine — having been there ourselves — the writer had awhile to work on and the photg got very little time. Third: we appreciate the repetition of the Mr. Chew's face and gesture. Good sense of place and it's not a static photo of, again, a very news-y event.
