First Place: We love this intimate moment of the group waiting backstage. The leading lines and contrasting colors help the viewer's eyes go straight to the subject. Second Place: This is a visually appealing photo with great timing. The diagonal line of the hill and movement of the deer uphill brings our eyes across the frame to the moon. Third Place: Kudos to the photographer for focusing on details in the middle of a big event. It's an interesting way to shoot this, and the photo is very crisp.
