First Place: This category was not very strong, but we liked “Neiman Marcus CEO” because it is a well-lit photo. The colors are nice, and we like how the photos on the wall frame him well. Second Place: “Community Land Trust” could have been executed better. We like the colors and the smiles on everyone's faces, but the lighting could have been better, especially on the father. Third Place: “Cumbre Colonias” would have placed higher if the subject was identified in the caption. But, we liked the creative approach to this portrait. Alternate: “Texans Fullback At Home” could have been executed better, and we wish we could see more of the subject's new townhouse to match the caption. But, we appreciate the creative approach.
