Judges Comments

Small numbers entered here, very static stand here and smile images. The winners were exceptional in trying something different with their subjects. First, an image of a pollinator expert with bees (there was discussion of whether this was a portrait or who the subject was - expert or bees) is colorful, off beat and visually interesting; second is a reflection of the subject in a 1 cm resenator, which, again, caught the judges' attention. There was a choice for a third place, but the photographer entered multiple images, and the secondary image just didn't work, neither with the first image or on its own.
