Judges were disappointed by the lack of detail photos in most of the packages.
1) The story on the teacher recovering from Covid-19 had great emotion, access and was the most complete story. The photographer devoted time, used a variety of lens which allowed viewers to get to know the subject. However, judges caution against including two or three photos with similar information.
2) The Ambulance crew story demonstrated good seeing and interesting compositions while covering a major news story.
3) Third covers an important topic but lacked the emotion that would have placed it higher.
