1. This photo package is sick (in a good way!)! It contains some of the best images of any category in this entire group of submissions.Every aspect of every image is so powerful: color, composition. Some images convey the heat such that you almost feel it through the photo. 2. The sense of scale here is overwhelming. How can this small helicopter and tiny bucket fight this larger than enormous wall of smoke? 3. This seemingly pastoral and gorgeously lit scene belies the huge danger. Definitely gives a sense of scale.
