Really great category, some really nice football action, by far the toughest to judge. 1st place went to a nice, almost finger tip catch in the end zone with a medium length lens. Tough to get these images, and the crispness of the action and eyes of the receiver make the picture. 2nd went to a quiet volleyball photograph, the right place at the right time. 3rd went to a tackle with a helmet off the player (there were several photographs of players with no helmets in the category) it's a good moment, and the face makes this one stand out. Quite a few strong images in this category.
