Judges Comments

First place is a great series of photos capturing the scene and emotion from the shooting. So many fire photos end up looking very similar with the bright flames and often silhouetted firefighters, but the soft light and dramatic colors of the second-place photos stood out. Great fire and ice contrast and framing in the third-place shot.
