Lots of good daily newspaper action, a number of the images could've used better crops, and might have helped elevate in to placing. First place, was a simple crisp moment of a snowboarder flying through the air off a jump. Second place goes to a gymnastics image, judges felt the picture was a little tight, but the face and composition added to the quality of the moment. Third place, from a Seahawks-Jets game, was a nice moment, the ball over the helmet makes the picture. Judges thought the image could have been cropped tighter, the eyes on both of the players are interesting and compelling.
