First place: This story covers all of the bases. It has a natural flow and arc. It’s a story that has been told before, but at least the photographer had the access and built the relationships with the people they photographed which definitely elevated it. Second place: This story has some really strong frames and the photographer clearly worked the situation, but many of them were redundant. A tighter edit would have made it much stronger. It would have helped the storyline to show the horse during the recovery process.
