Judges Comments

This category, just like sports action, was also very poorly entered. First place: This photo of the man playing the bugle was the first photo we saw from the derby that we were excited about. We chose this photo over the other photo that was submitted of him because it does a nice job of illustrating emptiness by showing the space around him. Second place: This is a really nice pictorial image, aesthetically pleasing with beautiful light and a moment. Third place: With the photographer taking a step back, it allows us to see the layers of social distancing.
