First place: This image stood far above the rest with its graphically pleasing elements and strong composition. The photographer added an element of calm to this roaring fire by capturing the float and the reflection in the lake. Second place: This is a really strong moment. It tells the whole story in one frame. The emotion certainly elevated it but the caption could have used some more attention. Third place: Although it is the same fire scene, it is a completely different perspective and we liked how the image shows the car being engulfed. It added a different element that isn’t usually seen.
