The sports action categories are always full of great action and images, but we were looking for the images that we don’t typically tend to see on a regular basis. The image we awarded first is clean and interesting, and while over-the-rim shots have become much more popular, there is a clean expression on the player’s face, and the ball is in a spot on the rim that leaves the viewer wondering if the ball went in or not. The image we awarded second feels very “in your face” and makes the viewer feel as if they are a part of the action. It was clean and interesting. Lastly, the image we awarded third has the small detail of a player catching his finger on the net while trying to block a shot.
