Judges Comments

First place is nice job of seeing and framing a moment that seems to hint at a passing of traditions on to another generation. Well done. Second place nicely balances a straight-forward look at so many faces and expressions. The judges felt like any of us might have shot it too tight, or too loose. Like the story of three bears, this one feels just right. Third place does a spectacular job of visually communicating boredom. As a photographer we would have been pleased to capture this range of expressions from a candidate forum. As an editor, we would have been thrilled to see it drop into the system on deadline.
