Judges Comments

First Place: The Monday Night Social Club for youths with special needs story shows nice moments, especially the first photo with the father and the son, and the water hose photo. Second Place: The hot air balloons story had a good variety of vantage points. We especially like the reflection in the water photo. It helped the story that the photographer added the medium shot of the people in the balloon. Third Place: The black and white baseball stadium photos, which appear to be shot on film, have an artistic touch. We didn't feel like it had a story line but it is an interesting collection of photos, which required an extra effort by the photographer to shoot on film and develop it. (We hope this was not a film edge frame applied in Photoshop; otherwise, we would be heartbroken!)
