Judges Comments

There were many nice singles in the category but the stories they went with didn't hold up. First Place: We were able to weed out this category rather quickly and the images from the RNC rose to the top quickly. A lot of diversity with the RNC and the images weren't predictable, the photog really worked this one with very clean images. Second Place: Many excellent photos from an always difficult assignment to cover, we've all been there. Though we feel it could have been edited a bit tighter, still a fine job under tough circumstances. Third Place: Individually the images weren't as great as some of the other entries, but the collection of images chosen held together for a good story.
