The first-place portrait took advantage of nice sunlight and the grass, trees, sky and cloud. The golf club gives us an indicator that the boys are golf athletes. The second-place portrait had a nice reflection, taking an out the box approach of showing the children through a computer screen. The third-place image captured nice light on the cat and facial expression on the cat that allows the viewer to say "aww." I also liked how the cat was in the cage and bars were between his eyes. That was a nice element of visual creativity.
