We were very impressed with the first place image; it not only displays technical excellence, but demonstrates the trust the photographer built with the photo’s subject. Even with the difficult topic of homelessness, the photo gives dignity to Mr. Lugo. Both the second and third place images showcase creative ways that communicate the subject’s occupation.
