Our focus was drawn to the subject's eyes in a well-framed moment, which yields an inside view of the effects on people affected by current immigration detention escalations. Second place "Dancer" is a great peak moment in beautiful lighting. We argued a bit over the crop but decided we liked it the way it is presented. Third place "Soccer Rally" is a great moment of joy that represents the joy of the FIFA excitement this summer. The alternate is "HighFlyers," an excellent peak moment that nails the point of the story about the bicyclists at a new park. Love all three bikes in the air.
