Only two Photo Essay entries here, but both worthy of recognition. Each exhibited technical expertise by the photographer, but also the ability to find illuminating moments within the story.
First place - Ultimately, the judges were swayed by the photographer's attention to detail, ability look beyond the ordinary, and the genuine emotion a number of the frames captured during the course of the coronation event.
Second award - Perhaps it was the training exercise component of this story that diminished it very slightly overall, but it is a really fine set of photographs that capture the event well. The photographer made the most of their opportunity here, for sure.
