CW-WIAT La Familia De La Lucha Libre 9 10 10 9 This story made me laugh and think! Great job. The transitions with the tights of them working and using the bell throughout the piece made it even better. Excellent editing, great active interviews, and fantastic characters.
La Familia De La Lucha Libre
SD-WIAT La Familia De La Lucha Libre 9 10 10 9 Solid Solid piece, I love the way you opened it up with the character in the audience then came back to him later, I also love that you started with all that action in the ring and did a nice reveal of the family business. I like the sequences in your shots and your writing was excellent. A great story that made us listen and laugh, especially at the end. Good work
SJ-WIAT La Familia De La Lucha Libre 10 10 10 10 Good story on this family. Just when you thought it was about the wrestling entertainment you find out it's a 4th generation wrestling business with an added day job that the partriach wants to be a new family business. The visuals were great. the sound was excellent. The bell ringing the crowds awesome. Very interesting.

CW-WIAT Choir Of The Voiceless 9 10 9 10 There's so much to love about this story. The framing of the story, starting with the choir, then explaining it, and finally revisiting that performance was executed very well. I thought the songs you dropped in to the respective parts of the story fit very well..."Happy" when talking about happiness, etc. The shooting and gathering of NATs was spot on. The most impressive part was character development -- how we were introduced to these people in one mood, then shown their struggles, and finally why this choir is so important to them. The ONLY problem I saw was the unexplained wheelchair. We saw the man standing in his apartment, then in his wheelchair on the street, and then standing again at the center. I spent a lot of time in the story distracted by trying to figure out if that was the same guy. A line or two explaining why he uses it to get around town would have helped greatly.
Choir Of The Voiceless
SD-WIAT Choir Of The Voiceless 10 10 9 10 Just a really solid piece, so many reveals, especially the one about the gentleman being transgendered. So many times I got chills in the story and that's what it's all about in storytelling. So many great nats and a variety of shots, you told a number of stories in one. Helluva job with this story
SJ-WIAT Choir Of The Voiceless 10 10 8 10 Very informative about the issue of isolation. I like how the reporter told the individual stories of some of the choir members. What a fabulous way to let them know they matter! The music was an added treat which worked well with the story as it was told. By the end I was smiling and singing along. Good collaboartion.

CW-WIAT Typewriter Troubador 10 10 9 9 Great character! I loved all the reaction in the story...you didn't just focus on the troubador, but the people whom he touches. Nice subtle reveals throughout with the paper creeping up into frame. There were a lot of repeated moments, as in different sound bites that said basically the same thing.
Typewriter Troubador
SD-WIAT Typewriter Troubador 10 9 9 9 This was a really solid piece, great use of sound and NATS and a great variety of shots. I love how you weaved all that through flawlessly. I love the added edge to the piece towards the end where the tables are turned on the Troubadour to write about himself. However, I felt like the piece started to drag on a little bit, I would tightened up a little bit, but all in all solid piece.
SJ-WIAT Typewriter Troubador 10 10 10 10 The typewriter nats pulled me in right away! The rest of the story unfolded so naturally with peoples reactions to the guy sitting on the corner typing poems for money. Reporter did wonderful job of writing just what needed to be said to pull the story along. The imagery was good. I found the whole piece informative and interesting. Before this I had no idea what a Troubador was..

CW-WIAT Paving His Own Way 10 9 8 10 Excellent story-telling. I loved the reveals sprinkled throughout the story. My favorite part is that you turned what most stations would have ran as a brief VO into a great PKG. My only critique would be to increase the pacing on the front end to match the chaos that is a car fire.
Paving His Own Way
SD-WIAT Paving His Own Way 10 8 8 10 This was a great people story, like the Alaska version of 'Humans of NY'. I love the variety of shots and how you took what otherwise could have just been a car fire vosot and turned it into a homerun of a enteprise piece, very heartwarming. However, you could have benefited from a faster pace with that raging car fire and then settled the piece down to the pace you had it with telling the rest of his story. Great Job.
SJ-WIAT Paving His Own Way 10 9 9 10 way to take it to the next level. Looks like what could have been a spot news story was developed into so much more. Now I know the rest of the story. The video, audio, and editing were solid.
