TS KNXV 9 9 10 9 Great Intro...I know music isnt the NPPA way but it fits here. Great creative shots. Well done. Liked the look down from the office angle.
CL - KNXV 9 9 9 9 Great example of how to creatively implement photos into a piece. Nice backtime to Tony's sound. I felt myself getting really upset with each car towed, so you know you did a nice job of keeping this viewer engaged. Nice work!
MC - KNXV 9 9 9 9 Loved this Story! I was angry at that little sign myself! Music isn't always something im a fan of adding to a story, but this fit paerfectly. loved the natural transitions you used. Great job!
bm KNXV 8 9 9 9 nice opening to music then nats. good mixture and variety of shots of cars getting towed. creative editing. the ending...eh....encourage your reporter to keep that out and find a true closing shot / nat sequence. the question i have if you informed that one driver why didn't you inform them all? because you needed video of cars being towed and you were documenting what was happening. just something to think about.
RF- KNXV 9 8 9 9 So I really like this story, I wish the businessman had been wearing a lav or the stick mic had been kept out of the shot. I disagree with the comment above I actually liked the ending, but you could barely make out his saying "yeah, but the sign." If you can boost the audio I thought it did a pretty good job of illustrating your point.

TS KNXV 7 6 6 7 Good job. That was a really sweet story. The walking shot behind the little boy was my favorite. Keep up the good work.
CL - KNXV 9 8 8 9 Great opening shot. I really liked the framing and slow push. I loved the nat break with the band as well. You did a phenomenal job at capturing the excitement of the day. Nice work!
MC - KNXV 9 9 8 10 Very emotional story. Awesome, Awesome job keeping up with the people you interviewed before and after they met up with their loved ones. Great use of the band also. Again awesome job!!
bm KNXV 8 9 8 9 solid story. crisp sound. good choice of sound matching video; ship coming out of the fog for example. nice nat break with the band and i really liked the handoff to the family with little Isaac. then following that family to the reunion. TRT may have been a factor but i'd love to have seen you hold your shot more on THAT reunion over others. you really kept it moving. closing shot? families leaving the dock maybe would be better than ending on sound? maybe little Isaac's family? just something to think about. not that it matters but the opening shot had sailors in it, looked like the reunions already took place? overall very nice work and hustle! keep it up!
RF- KNXV 8 7 8 9 Great job. Loved the nat break with the band. I thought you did a really good job of capturing the emotion of the day. It seemed like it needed more of an ending it just kind of stopped to me. Also the lady in the yellow shirt in the beginning, hide that mic cord.

TS KNXV 7 8 8 8 Very personal story. Nice interview shots. I liked the low angle shots a bunch. Keep up the good work.
MC - KNXV 8 8 9 8 Powerful story, loved the interview shots and mix of car traffic. Great job.
CL - KNXV 8 8 8 8 Heartbreaking story, but very nice job putting it together. Loved the shot variety. Great work!
bm KNXV 7 7 8 8 loved the wide shots. helps mix the story up visually. good use of nats weaving throughout. you have a great eye. mixing up the interview angles helped with the limitted video you had (folks holding signs and pictures) . maybe one of the interviews could be shot from across the street and compressed. overall very good story.
RF- KNXV 8 8 8 8 What a sad story. I thought that you did a great job making this visually interesting given limited visuals. Impressive job.

TS KNXV 8 9 9 9 Great Story...Nice shooting and editing. Like that you went to the food bank. Start to Finish I really enjoyed the shooting.
CL - KNXV 7 8 7 8 Great use of nats. The hog near the end was a fun touch. Nice shot variety too. Expecially the tights on the turkeys. Nice work!
MC - KNXV 8 8 8 8 Solid use of nats and tight shots. Great work on your interviews as well. Great piece.
bm KNXV 7 7 7 8 good strory and great use of nats and nat transitions. a few things to be mindful of that you probably noticed; following the action of turkeys being loaded off the truck find an iris setting and stick with it. the video went hot for a bit. if that happens and your adjusting the iris on the fly keep doing it until it is smoother and a not noticeable shot is captured. pig nats were nice, but the pig had nothing to do with the story other than the farm reference. if there was a second shot of the pig, from behind with the turkeys in the background or with the pig in the background of the turkeys (bringing relevance to the pig in relation to the turkeys) keep it, but just as a stand alone lose it and use turkey nats. just because you have a great shot, or nats, if it does not support the story or subject of the story, don't use it. finally your tripod was in the closing shot. closing shots are just as important as opening shots. loved the side profile interivew out of focus, the feather in the foreground shot and your overall sequencing. keep it up.
RF- KNXV 8 8 8 7 I thought this was a really great story! I particularly liked the one SOT with the soft focus on the subject and the turkeys in the background. Watch out for that tripod it snuck in at the end.
